Townsville
The scenes for the Mmara series were inspired by locations around Townsville, Queensland.
The locations that have inspired the illustrations for the Mmara series are Burdell, Douglas, The Strand, North Ward, Townsville City, and Crystal Creek to name a few. There are also many beautiful locations around Yunbenun (Magnetic Island) that feature throughout Book 2 & 3.
